Cityvibe is the place to go for cheap and good food. The little mall has quite a variety of food for everyone to try, and recently, Prata Alley just opened for business there. Prata Alley serves authentic Indian cuisine and I have to say, I have a soft spot for Indian cuisine. I absolutely love a good prata, or a scrumptious mee goreng. So when Prata Alley opened, I was super excited to try the food there!
About a week ago, my friend and I decided to go to Prata Alley. The whole place was quite cosy and reminded me of those café’s!
I ordered 1 plain prata and 1 egg prata, together with a green tea.
Prata (also known as Roti Prata) is a flatbread that is cooked over a flat grill. It is usually served with curry that is either chicken, mutton or fish. For people who are unable to take spicy food or for kids, you can actually eat the prata with a bit of sugar! It’s that versatile.
The prata was divine. This place as made it into my top 3 places to visit when I want my Indian cuisine fix. The prata was crispy, but also soft and slightly chewy on the inside. The curry was not too strong and spicy and the prata and curry was a match made in food heaven.
I have yet to try other things on the menu and I definitely will head back for more. In the meantime, just look at the place! Doesn’t it just scream cosy?
The food here is really good and my expectations for Indian cuisine just shot up after trying the food here ONCE. I just cannot wait to go back for more!
