Let’s cut to the chase; Singapore is expensive to live in, as well as to visit. It isn’t wrong to want to spend a little less money, but I think you shouldn’t compromise comfort and safety! So here are a list of hotels that are still pleasing to the eye and good for your bank account!
For solo travelers, or anyone who prefers something a little more minimalistic and basic, these 3 boutique hotels; Mayo Inn, Lloyd’s Inn and Venue Hotel are for you!
This is a very basic hotel that offers comfort in 3 different styles of rooms. The rooms have distinctive features that will make you feel as if you are in a different place altogether. There is the Western, Japanese and Suites/Rooftop Terrace.
The Western styled rooms are kept simple yet elegant, the Japanese styled rooms are very classic and similar to the types you will see in Japan, just brighter and more aesthetically pleasing. These two styles are more for couples or friends traveling together as the sizes are for only 2 people. The Suites/Rooftop Terrace are bigger than the Western and Japanese styled rooms so if you’re traveling with a child it would be best to reserve the Suites/Rooftop Terrace. Note: Mayo Inn Hotel is close to the MRT (Mass Rapid Transportation), so exploring Singapore is really easy from there!
